On 16 December 2025, in Santiago de Cali - Comuna 16 (Valle del Cauca), ELN members detonated two IEDs at the intersection of Carrera 50 and Avenida Simon Bolivar, in the Mariano Ramos neighborhood, killing two police officers who were patrolling the area in a police vehicle. This was one of several actions suspected to have been carried out by the ELN across the country as part of a 72-hour armed strike (coded separately). 2 fatalities.
