On 16 December 2025, an IED, which had been left by ISIL on an agricultural road, detonated in the area of Tal Abta city (Ninewa), injuring a civilian who was passing by. Security forces cordoned off the area and began searching for other explosives. 1 injured. There were no fatalities.
