On 16 December 2025, Nigerian naval operatives engaged in a firefight with an unidentified armed group along the Inele-Inabe Road, coded to the closest populated area, Inele (Olamaboror, Kogi). The military killed 2 members of the armed group, who were dressed in military uniform and bearing the Miyetti Allah membership card.
