On 15 December 2025, in Montego Bay, Saint James, police forces shot and killed three men in the Rose Heights community. According to the official version, the now deceased were part of a group of five armed men who were intercepted at a bus along 41 Boulevard. As the armed individuals saw the officers, they opened fire, prompting the police to shoot back. Three were killed and two managed to escape. Two firearms were seized. The police identified them as members of a criminal organization committing high-profile robberies in Montego Bay. Residents denied the official version and claimed that the police shot at the victims without provocation. An investigation was launched to clarify the circumstances of the killings. 3 fatalities.
