On 15 December 2025, the Nigerian military clashed with a Plateau militia, killing 1 near the Dong community (Jos North, Plateau). The militia were first chased away from the Dong community but abducted 4 people in a neighboring village while retreating. The troops engaged them again, killing 1, and arrested three of their informants. The troops recovered an AK-47 rifle with a magazine and four rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
