On 15 December 2025, near Shat Pon village (Palaw township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), fighting broke out between the Myanmar military and the People's Defense Force - Myeik District (Battalion-1) after the military attacked PDF members following their abduction of a 58-year-old ward administrator from No.1 ward (coded separately). The two sides then exchanged fire for about five minutes. During the clash, the People's Defense Force - Myeik District (Battalion-1) shot dead the 58-year-old ward administrator as he allegedly attempted to escape while in detention. 1 fatality.
