On 15 December 2025, in Hatonuevo (La Guajira), two suspected members of an unidentified armed group travelling on a motorcycle shot and killed a man in a drive-by shooting in the Ramon Luque neighborhood. The motives may have been settling of scores or social cleansing, as the victim's name had appeared in a pamphlet and a video posted on social media by an armed group operating in the area. 1 fatality.
