On 15 December 2025, in Araucaria (Parana), municipal guard officers clashed with and killed a drug trafficker during an operation in the Capela Velha neighborhood. The officers were responding to reports of drug sales at a distribution point, where two individuals were detained with narcotics. A third suspect, armed, refused to comply with police orders and opened fire at the officers. Approximately 80 packages of crack were later found in his possession. 1 fatality.
