On 15 December 2025, in Quito - Quitumbe (Pichincha), between two and four armed individuals shot and killed three men at a restaurant in the Nueva Aurora sector, near Guamani. The attackers arrived on two motorcycles, posing as food couriers. After the attack, the assailants rapidly fled east on Julio Andrade Street. Two victims worked at the restaurant and one was the owner. Another worker who survived stated that the two workers were suspected drug users. The motive for the attack is unknown. 3 fatalities.
