On 15 December 2025, in Guayaquil - Pascuales (Guayas), unidentified armed individuals riding a motorcycle shot and killed a Venezuelan couple who worked on a three-wheeled motorcycle in a drive-by shooting at the intersection of the road to Daule and Latacunga Street, near the land terminal of Pascuales. The victims were waiting for passengers. Authorities arrested a suspected member of a gang led by alias Colombia in relation to the case. At the location of his arrest, authorities seized three Molotov bombs and a bag containing cash and pamphlets. 2 fatalities.
