On 14 December 2025, in Zapopan, Jalisco, an unknown number of people kidnapped a man and demanded a ransom. When municipal police responded, one suspect opened fire and attempted to run over officers before fleeing. A chase and armed clash followed, ending in Colonia Arboledas, where one suspected kidnapper was arrested. A man's body, suspected to be the kidnapped victim, was found in the suspect's vehicle, although it is not specified whether he died during the clash or beforehand. 1 fatality.
