On 14 December 2025, SSPDF forces clashed with armed opposition forces (likely SPLM/A-IO, who have been involved in similar incidents in the region) in Garia, north-west of Budang Payam (location coded to Wangrial, the nearest known location in Rubkona County, Unity State). The opposition members crossed into Sudan territory (no further information). Casualties unknown.
