On 14 December 2025, Fano clashed with ENDF, Amhara regional riot police, and Kebele militia in Gashena (Wadla, North Wello, Amhara), leading to the killings of forces on both sides. The Fano forces entered the town and fought with the state forces near the town's police station and gas station. The state security forces used heavy artillery and ZU-23 anti-aircraft guns to defend their positions from Fanno's penetration. The ENDF, on the other hand, claimed to have captured several Fano militias during the clash. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 3.
