Israeli forces carried out an extensive abduction campaign, on Friday night, affecting dozens of Palestinians in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank. Media sources said that occupation forces detained dozens of Palestinian citizens and abducted many of them, after storming and ransacking their homes in Beit Ummar town. The sources added that soldiers invaded the Al-Dhaher neighborhood in the town, and detained dozens of citizens, forced them on the ground and bound their hands behind their backs. The detainees and abductees were reported to belong to the Abu Maria, Arar, Awad, Bahr, Zaqaqeq, and Muqbil families; the number of those abducted were not known at the time of this report. Meanwhile, Israeli forces invaded the towns of Beit Fajjar and Al-Khader, southwest of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank. Media sources reported that occupation forces invaded the “Muthallath” area in the center of Beit Fajjar, on Friday night, fired live rounds and concussion grenades, which damaged vehicles in the area. Earlier, the army stormed the town of Al-Khader, and deployed soldiers in several areas including the vicinity of the Grand Mosque, and the Martyrs’ Cemetery. In related news, the army invaded the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank. Media sources said that occupation forces stormed the outskirts of Nabi Saleh village, on Friday evening, and fired tear gas canisters in the mountain area; no injuries were reported.
