A Moegot revolutionary news source told Yangon Khit Thit news agency that resistance forces launched short-range rockets at junta troops garrisoned in Masisone Kyaung compound and Maung Nay Ya Kyaung compound in Moegot town, Mandalay Region.

At 11:30 a.m. today, January 16, revolutionary groups fired four rockets at the targets, causing loud explosions. The source noted, "These are just monasteries — no monks or civilians remain there, only junta garrisons. Ma Sisone and Maung Nay Ya are close. After the rockets hit, junta reconnaissance aircraft circled overhead. The blasts were very loud."
