Junta forces attacked a monastery in Shan Myaung Village, Kanhee Township, Sagaing Region, with heavy weapons, injuring two monks and destroying buildings, according to local residents and a Kanhee Township PDF representative.

In the afternoon of January 15, two junta gyrocopters bombed the Aung Sukarya Monastery near Aung Mingala Monastery. Two senior monks were injured, and monastery structures were heavily damaged.
