A representative from the Kyunhla Activists Group told Yangon Khit Thit news agency that junta forces conducted five unprovoked airstrikes on villages in western Kyunhla Township, Sagaing Region, despite no active combat in the area.

In the afternoon of January 14, two jet fighters from Tada-U Air Base bombed the targeted villages five times. Civilian casualties remain unconfirmed as investigations continue.
