Clashes erupt between junta forces and revolutionary troops near Yangon–Pyay road in Kothpin Kauk Township

Local residents and revolutionary news sources told Yangon Khit Thit news agency that fighting broke out early this morning between junta troops and People’s Defense Force (PDF) units near the Yangon–Pyay road in Kothpin Kauk Township, Bago Region.

The clashes began in the early morning of January 13 at the road junction near Shan Kwin Village — about one mile from Kothpin Kauk town — along the Yangon–Pyay highway. Heavy casualties were reported among junta forces during the ongoing battle.
