At around 6 a.m. today, January 8, resistance fighters planted and detonated landmines near Allakappa village, targeting a military vehicle that had departed from a junta checkpoint at the Myaung junction in Yinmabin Township. The blast killed two soldiers and injured three others, while the resistance fighters managed to withdraw without any casualties.
