On January 11, police arrested the two shooters involved in the murder of sarpanch (village head) Jarmal Singh in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, from Chhattisgarh, reports The Tribune. According to reports, the arrests were carried out with the assistance of the Raipur police, as the accused had fled Punjab after the crime and gone into hiding.
