The army continues to pursue wanted persons, drug dealers and security violators in various Lebanese regions.

In this context, on 12 January 2026, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested a citizen (A.K.) in the Tabarja-Kesrouan region for drug dealing, and raided an apartment in the Halat -Jbeil area, which he used to store drugs, and seized a large quantity of drugs, in addition to forged identity cards.

Another patrol from the Directorate raided the home of citizen (M.Z.) in the Iaat-Baalbek area and arrested him for possession of weapons and ammunition, seizing a quantity of them. The seized items were handed over and the investigation with the detainees began under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
