In Minhla Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, the People’s Defense Force (PDF) Battalion No. (4) under Thayet District reported that resistance forces attacked a military convoy transporting ballot boxes, killing four junta troops and injuring several others.

According to the report, the column — consisting of around 250 junta soldiers — was moving to secure the area before transporting ballot boxes from Minhla Town to Thayet Town. The attack occurred near Saphan Kine Village at around 11:10 a.m. on January 12.
