On 9 January 2026, near Nwar Paung village (Ye-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the People's Defense Force - Ye-U (PaKaPha) carried out a mine attack against two Myanmar military trucks with 70 soldiers who were advancing towards Than Thei village around 7:00 am. During the attack, 8 military soldiers were injured.
