On 13 December 2025, a Malian army vehicle struck an IED planted by an armed group (likely JNIM, based on location) between Ke-Macina and Komara. 3 soldiers were seriously injured and were evacuated by air. There were no fatalities. JNIM claimed to have targeted the Malian army with an IED on the outskirts of Ke-Macina, without providing further information. Location coded to Ke-Macina (Macina, Macina, Segou).
