According to Ko Mone Taing, the person in charge of the Wetlet Informational Network, five civilians, including a two‑month‑old baby, were killed when the brutal military used aircraft and drones to conduct bombing attacks on villages in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, he told Yangon Khit Thit News.
At about 9:47 a.m. on January 6, two Jet‑2 aircraft from the Bridgehead Air Base of the brutal military dropped three 300‑pound bombs on Paukkan Station Village in the southern part of Wetlet Township, even though no fighting was taking place. During the bombing, four residents of Paukkan Station Village were killed on the spot: a two‑month‑old baby, Daw Mya (aged 70), Daw Thin Kyine (aged 40), and Daw Tin Tin Thei (aged 60). A 40‑year‑old woman also sustained head injuries, and some houses and vehicles were destroyed by fire.
