In Mying Township, Magway Region, resistance fighters from the Salingyi Revolution Army used heavy weapons to attack a junta outpost manned by over 100 troops, causing casualties among the soldiers, according to a group spokesperson who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News.

On January 5, the attack targeted the junta base at Lin Ga Taw Pyu Saw Hti village in Mying Township. While exact casualty figures could not be confirmed, resistance fighters reported their artillery landed close to the troops and withdrew safely without losses.
