In Chin State, a junta column marching toward Falam town from the Thweingin area was attacked again, resulting in heavy military casualties, the capture of soldiers, and the seizure of weapons and ammunition, according to a Chin National Army (CNA) source speaking to Yangon Khit Thit News.

Early in the morning on January 5, clashes broke out between the advancing junta column and Chin resistance forces near Falam town. During the engagement, numerous junta soldiers were killed or injured, prisoners were taken, and weapons were captured.
