In Chin State’s Hakha Township, the military carried out an airstrike despite there being no clashes, killing two young children and their mother and seriously injuring the father, according to a CNA military source speaking to Yangon Khit Thit News.

Around midnight on January 4, the military dropped bombs on Halta and Haiphai villages in Hakha Township without any battles taking place. One bomb hit a house in Halta village, killing three family members — two children and their mother — and leaving the father in critical condition.
