In Kanbalu Township’s Metha village, three family members were killed when the military carried out an airstrike without any clashes occurring, according to a volunteer from an internally displaced persons (IDP) support group based in Kanbalu Township who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News.
The incident happened at around 10:15 p.m. on January 2, when the military dropped bombs from aircraft over Metha village in Kanbalu Township, despite there being no fighting in the area. The airstrike killed three family members, including a child, and left five others injured.
