According to local residents, at least seven displaced civilians were injured when junta aircraft dropped bombs on Mu Kam Gyi Village in Depayin Township, Sagaing Region.

At around 7:30 p.m. on January 1, the Myanmar military carried out an airstrike on the Basic Education High School in Mu Kam Gyi Village, located in the southeastern part of Depayin Township, despite there being no fighting in the area. The school was being used to shelter civilians displaced by conflict.
