Local residents told Yangon Khit Thit News Agency that on the evening of December 31, around 4 p.m., junta fighter jets carried out a bombing raid near Nyaung Kone Village in the western part of Myaing Township, even though no fighting was taking place in the area. The aircraft dropped two 500-pound bombs, killing two civilians and injuring five others.
