Around 8 a.m. on December 26, joint revolutionary forces — including Kawthaung District Battalion No. 1, SOF Unit, Bokpyin PDF, and Dragon Squad-TNI — launched a drone attack on junta troops who were preparing to set up a polling station for the regime’s sham election inside a civilian house near the Lein Ya Bridge in Pyigyimandaing town. The strike killed five soldiers, including one officer, and injured several others.
