EOD police in Sisaket are urgently recovering and destroying over 200 unexploded artillery shells fired by Cambodian soldiers into civilian areas. Thirteen shells have already been destroyed.

Today (January 3, 2026), reporters learned that in the afternoon, a cassava field west of Ban Phontip, Moo 9, Saothongchai Subdistrict, Kantaralak District, Sisaket Province, was found with over 200 artillery shells scattered throughout the village, rice fields, rubber plantations, and cassava fields.
