SAA event in Republike Srpska, Trebinje area, Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tue 30th December 2025

A 28-year-old man broke into the house while armed with a firearm, after which a physical confrontation ensued with the homeowner, a 43-year-old man. During the altercation, the intruder sustained gunshot-related injuries. Police conducted an on-site investigation under prosecutorial supervision, and the circumstances of the incident are under investigation. Police were alerted by emergency medical services after the injured person arrived for treatment. Shortly afterwards, a 43-year-old man reported to police that he had fired multiple shots in front of his family home toward the burgler. Police secured the scene, conducted an on-site investigation, and arrested the suspect. The circumstances and motive of the shooting are under investigation.
