IED event in Shkodër County, Shkodër area, Albania on Mon 29th December 2025

A 67-year-old man was killed after a remote-controlled explosive device detonated at an apartment building’s electrical panel. Four suspects were arrested in connection with the incident: men aged 24–27, suspected of acting in coordination and being paid to carry out the attack. Authorities report that the case involves the illegal possession and use of explosive devices, as well as additional offenses. The suspects face charges including premeditated murder committed in complicity, destruction of property using explosives, illegal possession and manufacture of weapons and explosive materials, and related criminal offenses. The investigation remains under the authority of the prosecution.
