SAA event in Sarajevo Canton, Sarajevo area, Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sat 27th December 2025

An unknown masked individual fired a firearm at a 24-year-old man in a parking lot. According to the media, the victim called his father, who brought a pistol which the victim used to return fire in the direction of the fleeing attacker. No gunshot-related injuries were reported. During the on-scene investigation, the man surrendered a pistol that he possessed without authorisation and was subsequently arrested for illegal possession of weapons. Six shell casings were seized at the scene. The 24-year-old man has a criminal record. The police continue efforts to identify and locate the unknown shooter.
