CBRN event in Raška District, Novi Pazar area, Serbia on Tue 23rd December 2025

A woman working in a jewelry shop was threatened with a replica pistol by an unknown man, who also used pepper spray and stole approximately three kilograms of gold before fleeing in an unknown direction. Police responded to the scene, secured the area, and launched a search for the suspect, including reviewing CCTV footage. The primary suspect, a 41-year-ol man, was arrested, as well as a 38-year-old police officer suspected of assisting the perpetrator after the robbery by helping buying the new and dispose of clothing used during the crime. Both suspects were detained for up to 48 hours by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the investigation is ongoing.
