On January 8, a Security Force (SF) trooper was injured in an encounter with terrorists in a forest area of Kathua District of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. A joint operation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of J-K Police and other SFs, including Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was launched on January 7 at Kahog village in Billawar after inputs on 2-3 terrorists. An encounter ensued in Kamadh Nallah. Intelligence also indicates movement of three groups of infiltrating terrorists.
