An explosion damaged a railway track in the Notal area of Naseerabad District of Balochistan on January 7 after unidentified assailants reportedly targeted it using explosive material, disrupting rail services in the region, reports Zrumbesh. According to railway officials, a key portion of the track sustained significant damage in the blast, leading to suspension of traffic on the affected section. However, no casualties were reported. The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for the explosion. In a statement issued to media, BRG ‘spokesperson’ Dostain Baloch said that the group’s cadres planted explosive material on the railway track, which was detonated, causing damage to the line.
