Five Security Forces (SFs) personnel were killed while three other personnel sustained injuries when the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) cadres ambushed a military convoy in the Bazdad Pump area of Awaran District in Balochistan on January 1, reports Zrumbesh. In a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group first attack took place in the Bazdad Pump area, where a sniper team targeted SF personnel guarding a military convoy, killing one soldier. The group further claimed that approximately two hours later, its cadres ambushed a six-vehicle army convoy near Kundor in the same area, targeting two vehicles and killing four soldiers, while wounding three others.
