UAV event in Ukraine on Thu 1st January 2026

On 1 January 2026, Russian forces conducted an unidentified combination of air, drone, and artillery strikes on Kherson, Kherson. Russian forces conducted a drone strike on an ambulance that was responding to wounded elsewhere in the city. During attacks on Antonivka, Tomyna Balka, Stanislav, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Oleksandrivka, Sofiivka, Novotiahynka, Sadove, Stepanivka, Rozlyv, Veletenske, Zorivka, Kizomys, Posad Pokrovske, Poniativka, Dniprovske, Prydniprovske, Novoraisk, Bilousove, Berehove, Burhunka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Kozatske, Mykilske, Mykhailivka, Novodmytrivka, Olhivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Shevchenkivka, Romashkove, Yantarne, Chereshenky, and Kherson, four apartment buildings, 8 private houses, and an outbuilding were damaged. At least four civilians were wounded in Kherson, including an ambulance driver. One civilian was killed.
