The situation is worsening at the Mali-Guinea border, as JNIM carried out two new unclaimed attacks, the first one targeting a mining site near in Denso on January 2, 2km from the border, which was reportedly repelled by the security apparatus there.

The second attack happened yesterday in Filamana, 17km from the border, where JNIM terrorists destroyed construction equipment and the customs office in the town, the militants also held a meeting in the town's mosque before leaving, this seems like a coordinated expansion to set up a new operation zone and scatter the Malian army.
