On December 31, Rajasthan Police arrested two persons identified as Surendra Patwa (48) and Surendra Mochi (33) and seized a large cache of explosive material from a car in Tonk District, reports The Hindu. The District Special Team (DST) recovered 150 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, 200 cartridges and six bundles of safety fuse wire measuring about 1,100 metres from a vehicle intercepted near Chironj village on National Highway-52. Tonk Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) Mrityunjay Mishra said the explosives were concealed in urea sacks.
