On December 24, Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) Chief Shafiqur Rahman condemned the crude bomb explosion in Dhaka that killed a young man named Siam, reports thedailystar.net. In a post on his verified Facebook page, Shafiqur wrote, "I pray for the maghfirat of Siam. May Allah forgive him, shower His mercy upon him, and grant patience to his bereaved family…A sinister group is carrying out covert attacks to destabilise the country."
