On December 18, protesters began gathering in Shahbagh area of Dhaka after news emerged that Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi had died in Singapore, reports thedailystar.net. Demonstrators marched around the Shahbagh police station around 10:45 pm, chanting slogans: "Tumi ke ami ke? Hadi, Hadi," "Delhi na Dhaka? Dhaka, Dhaka," "Surround the Indian embassy," and "Inqilab Zindabad."
