On December 16,Security forces (SF) recovered an old hand grenade near a river in Pandras village of Drass in Kargil District of Ladakh, and safely defused it during a joint operation, reports Greater Kashmir. The grenade was discovered near the site of an oil tanker accident on December 15, in which the tanker skidded off the road into the river, causing minor injuries to the driver. A joint team of Army and Police personnel conducted the operation, ensuring the explosive was rendered safe without incident.
