An intense security operation, stemming from intelligence gathering, culminated in the arrest of four hitmen from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in the community of Aguacate de Arriba, in the municipality of Tabasco, Zacatecas.
The arrests occurred after the men opened fire on members of the Zacatecas Immediate Reaction Forces (FRIZ), who were conducting preventative patrols in coordination with the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Zacatecas State Attorney General's Office (FGJEZ), and the Investigative Police.

The detainees were identified as:

More than 2,760 rounds of ammunition
Approximately 189 metal and polymer magazines
