A junta convoy of about 150 troops and five military trucks carrying ammunition from Salin to Sinphyukyun in Magway Region was ambushed by resistance forces, resulting in heavy casualties and the destruction of several vehicles, according to local military sources who spoke with Yangon Khit Thit News.

The attack occurred on the night of December 25, when resistance forces intercepted and attacked the convoy with landmines and gunfire between Thazin Village and Mone Wun Village.
