According to Loki, the spokesperson for Mandalay District Battalion 11 of the resistance (TGYR), more than 40 junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militia members were killed when local resistance forces ambushed and destroyed a military convoy in Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region.
The attack took place at around 7 a.m. on December 19, when a convoy consisting of one Canter truck, two large vehicles, and one light truck departed from Ngazun Town toward the 14-Mile Junction in Tada-U Township. Resistance forces intercepted the four-vehicle convoy about 4,000 meters east of Ngazun and launched a pre-planned ambush.
During the attack, resistance fighters destroyed one Canter truck entirely and killed more than 40 people, including Pyu Saw Htee leader Myo Min Khine, his newly trained militia members, and two junta deputy sergeants who were traveling with them. Most of the victims reportedly died on the spot.
