According to the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) and local residents, a monk was injured when junta aircraft bombed the monastery in Pazigyi Village, Kantbalu Township, Sagaing Region.
On the afternoon of December 14, after two military trucks from Infantry Battalion 6006 arrived at Ingyin Su Village, a fighter jet from the junta’s Tada-U Air Base dropped two 500-pound bombs on the Pazigyi Village monastery.
The strike injured one monk, while other monks in the monastery were unharmed. Several monastery buildings were seriously damaged.
